In my last post Kat had her first full on FF, or girl on girl experience, and was left wanting.
Apart from the rather abrupt ending, she felt she lacked in knowledge and said she was going to research girl on girl (GoG) sex positions. I said I might too and true to my word I have.
Firstly though I feel the need to comment on some of the terminology, in particular, tribbing and frottage!
I appreciate frottage applies to both genders; nevertheless, does anyone else think they are funny sounding words?
Their etymology is a different topic altogether…
We’ll start with what seems to be the staple of GoG action – tribbing.
Truth be known, until a couple of months ago I had never even heard the expression – tribbing. One of my Twitter friends (OfSelina) mentioned it in a post, and my curiosity soon had me Googling it.
I still can’t get over what a silly sounding word it is. It reminds me of Tribbles, those fluffy, muffy little creatures from the Star Trek universe.
It’s like a cross between tribbles and tripping, and considering tribbles look like runaway muffs there might indeed be a link there 😀
Anyway I’m digressing.
Tribbing is when two girls rub their foo-foos (vulvas) against each other with the aim of ample, usually mutual clitoral stimulation.
According to the Google dictionary Frottage is performed through clothes.
However the Urban Dictionary says something a little different.
All sources agree on the dry humping aspect – non-penetrative, rubbing the organ to achieve orgasm, and it can apply to both men and women.
A male friend of mine informs me he once, to his own surprise, dry humped his bed to orgasm!
Anyway, tribbing falls into the frottage category, or is it the other way round…? I don’t know. But they’re definitely linked.
According to Wikipedia the most common form of tribadism is scissoring, which differs a little from the Google dictionary definition shown here because males and females seldom, if at all, scissor.
Having said that, it’s highly likely that the Kama Sutra has a hetero scissoring position in it somewhere.
You can see from the image how scissoring works, and the name is pretty self-explanatory. I’ve never tried it, and personally I think it looks uncomfortable.
Kat said she found it distracting. However, everything she was experiencing was new to her, so maybe that’s understandable. I guess it’s like anything new – strange at first and then with practice it starts to feel more natural.
This is another position falls that into the tribbing category.
I’ve never tried this with another girl, and to be honest, until I researched it, I don’t think I would have thought it possible to.
It doesn’t seem like it would lend itself well to being a GoG position. But as I say, I haven’t tried.
As you can see from the Wiki image, it’s just like the hetero version of missionary position, except vulvas are rubbed together with the aim of clitoral stimulation.
If you have done this I’d be interested in your comments.
Other than scissoring, I can’t think of any position other than missionary where 2 girls can rub foo-foos. If anyone has more to say regarding this I’d be interested to know J
There are two oral positions mentioned in this Bustle post, and scissoring doesn’t even get a look in.
Kat would certainly agree. She said Lisha’s oral technique lit a fire in her loins, the likes of which she’d never experienced before.
When I had my experience with Saff & Lilly, I had a similar experience to Kat and found Saffy’s tongue tantalised me in a way a man’s tongue never had.
There’s just something special about the way a girl uses her tongue. I guess it’s because they have the same pleasure spots and so they’re more likely to find and hit yours.
The Bustle article is certainly worth checking out, and in the 2nd paragraph it mentions the sideways straddle position, which links to a girl on boy image. It’s another form of frottage and so also a useable GoG position.
I don’t know about you but I find skin to skin contact to be the most intimate sexual acts, as such I feel that the points I’ve mentioned so far are the most sensual.
I could go on to talk about strap-ons and other toys like vibrators and dildos, but for me they lack that intimate sensuality, and this is an area I’m new to exploring.
If anyone reading has any other thoughts or research suggestions then please feel free to comment either here or on Twitter. (Not through DM).
